System Entry Process

Prior to working as a provider for a member agency, you must complete the system entry process. Select your level of care to find out more about system entry

Firehose

EMR/FR

EMR/FR need to complete the following:

  • Fill out system Entry Packet

  • Turn in Letter of Agency Affiliation

  • Turn in copy of EMR license, CPR Card and Drivers License

  • Complete skills sheet (done by agency training officer)

  • Turn in all paperwork to the office

EMT-Basic

EMT-Basic need to complete the following: 

  • Fill out system Entry Packet

  • Turn in Letter of Agency Affiliation and if needed a letter of good standing from previous system

  • Turn in copy of EMT license, CPR card and Drivers License

  • Complete written system entry test (click schedule test or call office to set up time)

  • Complete skills sheet (done by agency training officer)

  • Turn in all paperwork to the office

  • Please call the EMS office to set up your written test time

EMT-Intermediate

EMT-Intermediate need to complete the following: 

  • Fill out system Entry Packet

  • Turn in Letter of Agency Affiliation and if needed a letter of good standing from previous system

  • Turn in copy of EMT-I license, CPR card and Drivers License

  • Complete written system entry test (click schedule test or call office to set up time)

  • Complete scenario testing (click schedule test or call office to set up time)

  • Turn in all paperwork to the office

  • Please call the EMS office to set up your written test time

EMT-Paramedic/PHRN

EMT-Paramedic/PHRN need to complete the following: 

  • Fill out system Entry Packet

  • Turn in Letter of Agency Affiliation and if needed a letter of good standing from previous system

  • Turn in copy of EMT-P or PHRN license, CPR card, ACLS, Trauma Card (ITLS, PHTLS, TNCC or TNS), Pediatric Card (PALS or PEPP) and Drivers License

  • Complete written system entry test (click schedule test or call office to set up time)

  • Complete scenario testing (click schedule test or call office to set up time)

  • Turn in all paperwork to the office

  • Please call the EMS office to set up your written test time

Practical Test Information

Practical

For EMT-I, EMT-P and PHRN Only

This will consist of 2 practical scenario's given by the office staff. One trauma and one medical scenario will be done. You have 15 minutes per scenario. The scenario is to test you on your knowledge of protocols and not necessarily how well you do scenario's. You may schedule you practicals by calling the office or using the online scheduling function. You are permitted 1 re-attempt for the medical and trauma scenario's.
