International Trauma Life Support (I.T.L.S.)

The McLean County Area EMS Office offers International Trauma Life Support courses for First Responders, EMT-Basics, EMT-Intermediates, EMT-Paramedics, Nurses and Physicians. Our combined courses cover the skills necessary for rapid assessment, resuscitation, stabilization and transportation of trauma patients. These courses are designed to meet the objectives of the advanced life support provider as well as the basic life support provider or First Responder.

The course schedule includes over 6 hours of hands on practice. The combined course, for basic and advanced providers, is designed to allow each provider an opportunity to enhance his or her trauma care appropriate to his or her level of practice.
